Last Words To My Mom!

Mommy, 13 years ago on Sunday 19 July 2009, you closed your eyes, and exhaled your final breath! In the blink of an eye you were ushered into eternity and came face to face with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are sure that you heard the words: ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ Matthew 25:23.

Mommy, you ran your race well and accomplished the work God sent you to earth to do. Thank you for handing over the baton of faith to me! Thank you for never giving up on me, and always praying for me and your loved ones.

We miss you mommy and long to see you and hug you. But we know that beautiful Day is coming when we will join you in Eternity, for all eternity! The Bible assures those of us who know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, that to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ Jesus: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3 ESV.

An excerpt from the inspirational Non-fiction book: From The Pit to The Palace, A Story of Redemption:

My Mom’s countenance and the last look in her eyes confirmed that she was present with the Lord Jesus Christ.

My last words to my Mom after kissing her goodbye the day before was “Bye, Mommy, I love you, see you tomorrow”. Halfway down the passage I turned around, looked at her, and asked if she wanted me to pray for her again before I left. My Mom gave me “the look” I remember so well and I got the message that she was tired and wanted to rest.

As I walked away and out of the hospital, I had no idea that “tomorrow” for my Mom and me would be when we meet again on eternity’s shores.

May this inspiring true story help you on your journey to a secure future in Christ Jesus!
