1 Samuel 30:6 NIV): David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.
Have you ever felt so overwhelmed by your circumstances that you just don’t know what to do or where to turn for help?
You may have received a bad health report, are experiencing difficulties within your marriage, the seemingly ongoing challenges within your family is of grave concern to you, or your financial situation could be threatening your very livelihood! The list of challenges seem endless as wave after wave of difficulty just keeps knocking you down, and you feel that you have no strength left to get up again, lest another tumultuous wave overtake you!
The Bible states 365 times: “Fear not!” As overwhelming as it may appear in the natural, we have the Power of the Living God ready to help us if we just ask Him to. The same Power that raised Jesus from the dead, the Holy Spirit, is our Helper, and Friend who sticks closer than a brother, a very present help in our time of need!
The Apostle Paul went through overwhelming challenges:
2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (NIV): 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
So, take heart and strengthen yourself in the Lord because this too shall pass, and you will experience brighter days!
