Struck Down, But Not Destroyed!

Struck Down, But Not Destroyed!

God wasn’t joking when He said that in this life we will have many troubles! He goes on to tell us to rejoice when we face trials of many kinds (James 1:2-4). Because our lives are hidden with Christ Jesus in God (Colossians 3:3). We have the Holy Spirit Resurrection Power to rise like eagles way above the storms of life (Isaiah:40:31).

We can go through fire and come out unscathed, and we can go through deep waters and not drown (Isaiah 43:2). All because our Lifegaurd Jesus Christ walks on water and in Him, we LIVE, we MOVE and we have our BEING! (Acts 17:28)

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

But how is it possible to move on from despair, heartache and disappointment? How do we not succumb to the desire to just “lay down and die” when we become so weary because of the constantly battering storms of life, and seemingly unanswered prayers?

The Armor of God is our answer!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6: 10-18
